The Scarlet Letter

Mr. Kent!

Check out my Scarlet Letter website. I know it's not much, but it's simple and not annoyingly flashy. So as you can see from my tabs at the top, my three categories were:

>Character: Pearl
>Symbol: The Scarlet Letter
>Wild Card Page: The "Free Adaptation Film" vs. the book

Nathaniel Hawthorne
For other people who happened to stumble upon this little blog in the middle of the great ocean that is the internet, this website is completely devoted to a few aspects of Nathaniel Hawthorne's Classic novel, The Scarlet Letter. The book is basically about a woman who lives a Puritan Boston and commits adulatory after she thinks her husband dies.

She has a child and her town forces her to wear a scarlet "A" everywhere to remind her sin for the rest of her life. The novel analyses the Puritan hypocrisy that was prevalent in early America, and the Christian concepts of sin and judgement. It is considered by many to be Hawthorne's masterpiece.

So, welcome. And if you haven't read the book and plan on reading it, leave this site at once. It contains spoilers.
